WHAT IS CAMP FUSION? Camp Fusion is a day camp held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. The youth will be encouraged to grow in their faith while hanging with friends, having fun and taking time to serve others. Each day includes Mass, interactive presentations, worship and prayer and a day at Group Dynamix.
WHY CAMP FUSION? Middle school years are difficult and the support of solid community relationships and their relationship with God is vital. Therefore, our goal is for your middle schooler to make some amazing friends and encounter Jesus making their home at St. Gabriel the foundation they need during these tough years.
This camp is for middle school youth (in grades 6-8 for the 2019-20 school year). Parishioners are welcome to invite non-parishioners. In other words- FRIENDS ARE WELCOME! The camp is led by youth ministry staff, youth ministry core teams and high school youth serving on the camp staff. All youth in grades 9-12 in the 2019-20 school year and 2019 high school graduates are invited to apply for a (volunteer) Camp Staff position. This experience can be used for service hours. July 14-16 is Discipleship training for Camp Staff. During this part of the week, we focus on developing Christ-centered leadership and discipleship. The training includes a lock-in on Monday-Tuesday. All Camp Staff members are required to attend this training. The schedule for High School week is as follows: Sunday: 8:30am-6:30PM (attending 5:30PM Mass), Monday 8:30AM thru Tuesday at 1:00PM (Lock-in at the church).
July 17-19 is Camp Fusion with the middle school campers. The Camp Staff along with Youth ministry staff and core will lead Camp Fusion. A more detailed schedule is below.
Wednesday: 8:15AM - 5:00PM
Thursday: 8:15AM - 5:00PM (includes outing to Group Dynamix)
Friday: 8:15AM - 7:00PM (includes parent presentation and family dinner)
TRANSPORTATION: Charter Bus (to Group Dynamix from St. Gabriel)
COST: $75 for middle school campers and high school camp staff
