Fusion is a faith formation program designed specifically for youth in grades 6-8. The youth and dedicated adult core team meet on Wednesday evenings during the school year to dive deeper into our faith and encounter the person of Christ. At fusion, we seek to present the faith in a way that is fun, exciting and relevant to the youth. We hope to facilitate an encounter with God and ultimately inspire them to not just know about God, but to know God. The nights include dynamic presentations, games, small group discussions, praise and worship and a variety of prayer experiences. We know that these authentic experiences are not only vital to their faith growth, but also their cognitive, social and emotional growth. 6th grade is a pivotal year in a young person's life. Middle school presents new challenges and experiences. In Fusion, 6th graders will have the opportunity to make good friends, connect with faith-filled adults and grow in their relationship with God. We know that these relationships will be critical tools as they navigate the middle school years and grow cognitively, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
For youth interested in receiving the sacrament of Confirmation in the 8th grade, they must participate in faith formation (Fusion) in 7th grade. In Fusion, 7th graders will have the opportunity to make good friends, connect with faith-filled adults and grow in their relationship with God. Not only are these critical tools as they navigate the middle school years, but they are also important steps in their journey towards confirmation. (Can't do Wednesday nights? Contact Lori Miller.)
Fusion is our main program for all 8th graders. In Fusion, participants will have the opportunity to make good friends, connect with faith-filled adults and grow in their relationship with God. In 8th grade, youth who regularly attend mass and are active in a faith formation program will have the opportunity to discern the sacrament of confirmation. Youth who identify themselves ready for confirmation will receive formation and a customized journey towards the sacrament all in one experience. (Can't do Wednesday nights? Contact Lori Miller.)
